Line a large plate with parchment paper and set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine almond butter, maple syrup, and cocoa powder. Mix well. If adding chocolate chips, fold them through at the end.

Using your hands, roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls. Place balls on the lined plate.
