→ Assembly

13 - 4 brioche buns or hamburger buns

# Steps to Follow:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula, until no longer pink and lightly browned.
02 - Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until vegetables become soft and fragrant.
03 - Stir in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to evenly coat the mixture. Pour in the chicken broth and simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
04 - Reduce heat to low. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until the mixture is smooth. Gradually add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring continuously until fully melted and the sauce is creamy.
05 - Optionally toast the buns lightly. Spoon generous portions of the Cajun chicken mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Place the top half over the filling.
06 - Serve immediately while the filling is hot and the cheese is gooey for best flavour and texture.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Freshly toasting the buns before assembly adds an enjoyable texture contrast and helps prevent sogginess.
