Mozzarella Pepperoni Croissant Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough and Fillings

01 - 1 package croissant dough
02 - 120 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
03 - 60 g pepperoni slices

→ Butter and Seasoning

04 - 30 g unsalted butter, melted
05 - 2 g garlic powder
06 - 2 g dried oregano
07 - 2 g dried basil

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or by lightly greasing.
02 - Unroll the croissant dough and separate it into individual triangles along the perforated lines.
03 - Place the shredded mozzarella in a bowl and halve the pepperoni slices to better fit the dough.
04 - Melt the butter and combine with garlic powder, dried oregano, and dried basil, stirring until well blended.
05 - Generously brush the surface of each dough triangle with the seasoned butter mixture.
06 - Arrange several pieces of pepperoni at the base (wide end) of each triangle, then add a heaping tablespoon of mozzarella over the pepperoni.
07 - Gently roll each triangle from the wide end toward the point, encasing the fillings securely.
08 - Place the rolled croissants onto the prepared baking sheet, ensuring space between each for even baking.
09 - Brush the tops of the croissant rolls with any remaining butter mixture for additional flavor and browning.
10 - Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
11 - Allow the croissants to rest for 5 minutes before serving warm.

# Notes:

01 - For extra crispiness, bake the rolls on a wire rack placed over the baking sheet.
02 - Try grating a little Parmesan over the croissants before baking for a deeper flavor.
03 - Customize by substituting pepperoni with deli meats such as salami or ham.
04 - Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you prefer heat.
05 - For a vegetarian variation, omit the pepperoni and use vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
