In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and chopped onion. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain off any excess fat.
02 -
Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked beef mixture and stir to evenly coat. Add the refried beans and mix thoroughly. Continue to heat until the mixture is warmed through, then remove from heat.
03 -
In a separate bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup with the sour cream. Stir until smooth and fully integrated.
04 -
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Lightly grease a casserole dish. Spread half of the creamy sauce in the base. Tear three tortillas into pieces and arrange over the sauce. Add half of the meat and bean mixture, then distribute a layer of shredded cheese. Repeat the layers with remaining sauce, tortillas, meat mixture, and finish with a generous layer of cheese.
05 -
Place the dish in the oven and bake uncovered for 20–30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden brown on top. Serve hot.
