03 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
04 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
05 - 1 teaspoon salt
06 - 3 cups all-purpose or bread flour (plus extra for kneading)

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir gently and let sit for 5-10 minutes, until foamy.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter, salt, and yeast mixture. Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a dough forms.
03 - Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
04 - Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place in a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan, cover, and let rise again for 30-45 minutes.
05 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
06 - Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy with butter, honey, or jam.
